Three things stand out in this announcement. First is the collaboration with Queen City Off Broadway. Second is the enlistment of Brian Isaac Phillips as director for “Take me Out.” Finally, “Jerry Springer: The Opera” is a brilliant pick. The production will garner some valuable attention for the theatre, some of which will be “negative,” but in the case of Springer, it will both attract a bigger audience and add a complimentary tone to the King of the tawdry talk show.
