Deathmarch of Fun…

Min Usha aptly called this weekend’s heavily scheduled itinerary of arts the Deathmarch of Fun.

Day 1 – Thursday – CCM production of The Good Person of Setzuan – Good, but a little long. Min said there were more characters in this production than the one she saw in Chicago last year. Drinks & pizza after at Macs served as pleasant reminder of my college days.

Day 2 – Friday – CAM & CAC Gallery Openings. I only made it to the CAC portion of this collaborative opening, but it was a great show.

Day 3 – Saturday – CSO Encore Dinner & Concert. CSO Encore coordinated dinner at the Symphony Hotel before the concert. I’ve never been to the Symphony Hotel but it was lovely and dinner was excellent. The concert was amazing, John Adams conducting On the Transmigration of Souls and The Dharma at Big Sur.

Day 4 – Sunday – Movie – Be Kind Rewind – Cute and fun. Not as funny as I had hoped but enough funny parts linked together to make it worthwhile.

Stay tuned as the Deathmarch continues with Leap Year Final Friday, party, Sausage Queen contest, movies, One World Wednesday, Dim Sum, Bockfest parade, Prohibition Tour…
