Vine Street Kroger

Yesterday's trip to the Vine Street Kroger was great. They have everything a small downtown grocery store should. Of course, there's not as much variety on the higher-end organic/specialty items but it's set for the basics.

As you enter, a sign tells you that outside bags are not allowed but I stopped at the customer service counter and my cloth shopping bags were approved.

Rummaging through the racks is like going through your grandmother's attic. Well, if granny was more organized. Going with Min Usha & SN made the trip 100 times more fun than going alone.

Walnut Street Popcorn has locked their doors. I noticed on Monday, the lights were off. Today, I went by again and no lights. This time, there was also no popcorn in sight. No one is answering the phone.

Tomorrow night you could be an extra in a movie being filmed at Jungle Jim's. According to an email I received this morning, "Prior to the Thursday night filming a wine and cheese tasting will be held to benefit the nonprofit Foundation of Joy, an adoption and pregnancy wellness organization. My new favorite shop, garden supplies & OTR Tour...

My new favorite shop is Park + Vine. It's a boutique that opened in the Gateway Quarter of Over the Rhine. They carry green products: backpacks with solar panels for charging your portable electronics, bamboo table accessories, vinyl records reshaped into bowls, etc. They also carry izze soft drinks and energy bars in case you need a tasty beverage/snack while shopping.
