If you were a mad scientist and you were trying to formulate a musical performer that mixed a singer-song writer style with a melodic Broadway sound, Serenity Fisher may be your wonderful creation.

Serenity opened up the Thursday Night of Cincinnati's Midpoint Music Festival with a unique sound like no other performer in the festival. She mixes a pop sound, introspective lyrics, and a positive tone to make sharp music that catches you off guard with its charm, while still expressing the artist's dreams.

A great review for local band The Seedy Seeds. If you've not had the chance to seem them live, do so! They play the CAC during MidPoint.

Friday nights on Fountain Square. Beer sales start at 6:30. Live music shortly thereafter.

The show on Saturday night was intimate. No more than 100 people in the basement of the CAC.  The artwork projected behind the group really made the evening.  Kristopher Strom's whiteboard drawings were my favorite.  The show lasted a little more than an hour and all but 2 members of the audience were lounging on the floor by the end.  An interesting start to a fun evening out.  Definitely worth the price of admission ($10).  I hope CAC does more of this in the future.

4 years after his death, Johnny Cash's musical influence still reach new audiences. Check out performances by Jason Kendal, Lenny Lashley, Bill Brown, Allan, and Jim Gaddis. More information TBA.
