preparations

We are but a mere three (say it with a rolling 'r') days away from the Official CityBeat Fringe Festival Kick-Off Party...and thereby the start of the 2009 Cincinnati Fringe Festival. Oh yeah.

Venues are being loaded in as I type - most are already done. Rock on, Doug.

Volunteer slots are filling up fast...but there is still time to help. Thank you, Brain, Bridget, Matt (your software is...well, cool) and Jay!

Passes and tickets are selling. You know. You've already talked to Alex.

Artists start to arrive in town tomorrow. Sadie is ready to not just meet, but to greet you.

DCI got us some billboard placement on four sweet LED billboards. Can you believe we have billboards?

Box Office Associates are lined up and ready to train on Monday. Lesson plan provided by Rachel, goddess of Fringe ticketing (sorry, Gabe).

Segways are being driven around by the staff. Shawn, you've completed me.

I LOVE THIS FESTIVAL.

Don't forget, on Tuesday, May 26, we've got a Visual Fringe opening at the Art Academy at 6 pm. After you've taken in the visual art, you'll move to Know Theatre's Underground where you'll drink the most delicious beer in Cincinnati, Christian Moerlein. You'll listen to the ass-kicking sounds of Eclipse until 1 am.

Performances start on Wednesday, May 27 with perhaps the strongest line up of shows we've ever had in the Festival.

If you're not planning on coming to the Fringe, you're probably a communist.

See you soon,

Eric "The Pinko" Vosmeier
