On July 17-26, Transit Five will present the regional premiere of the musical “Edges” by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. Pasek and Paul were 2007 winners of the Jonathon Larson award, an award recognizing the new generation of composers and lyricists. Their musical “Edges” is a song cycle for a new generation of theater-goers.
The show “Edges” is a revue about the struggles of becoming an adult, searching for love, commitment, and meaning in life. Songs discuss trials and tribulations of relationships, growing apart from siblings, trying to achieve big dreams, and even the importance of “the Facebook.”
The cast includes Mollie Fingerman, Dan Hartman, Justin Hanks, Tim Hein, Bethany Jeffery, Katie Johannigman, Andrew Lund and Kirsten Schaffer.
Directed by Producing Artistic Director Sammy Kanter, this inspiring new musical will be performed at the Contemporary Arts Center (44 E. 6th Street, Downtown) July 17-26, with shows at 8pm on Thursday through Saturday. Musical direction is by Alex Gartner. Tickets are $12 for students, $15 for adults and can be purchased through the Contemporary Arts Center box office at (513) 345-8400.
