Well I guess that Les had the right idea. I on the other hand am feeling quite lousy after having woke up after a late night of fringe-a-oke and feasting on a can of green beans. I haven't gotten to a grocery store yet because Fringe has been absolutely insane.

We made it through the weekend, therefore we are superheroes. The Fringe has really taken on a personality of its own. It's been fun to see so many people in downtown Cincinnati. I hear next week is going to get a little lonely :(. Honestly though, the break will probably do me well. These people are some PARTY animals... it just doesn't stop. At 3 AM i had to throw in the towel and turn down the offer to eat omelets at The Anchor. As delicious as that sounded, I opted for some sleep instead. I had to get my rest so I could see some more shows!

I saw UNMASKED on Saturday and I highly recommend it. It's the only show I've seen that has provoked a standing ovation from the audience, and keep in mind, these Fringers can be a tough crowd. Curtis from Detox told a delightful story about his trip to heaven and all of the characters who he encountered in the great beyond. He combined spoken word poetry, story telling and character acting to create a fantastic performance that was both hilarious and even tear jerking at points.

Another great show is "The Attack of the Big Angry Booty." Les Kurkendall wowed the audience once again with an energetic one-man-show that explored his adventures as being a program coordinator for Jenny Craig in Los Angeles. It was a show that anyone can relate to, and I could tell that the audience was really digging his style. His piece was both laugh out loud funny and warm at the same time. Les has a wonderful presence and the audience seemed to genuinely connect with him. You go Les!

I want to consider blogging as work, but I should probably check back in to the real world. See you at Fringe tonight.

UPDATED Fringe-a-oke is in the cards!
